Anthony, Yesterday was just one day of the year we celebrate the amazing person you are.
Eighteen years ago today I brought you home from the hospital. This sounds so cliche, but I have to say it really does seems like it was just yesterday. Looking back I remember carrying you into the house thinking to myself, WOW, this is a HUGE responsibility, I will be taking care of this itty-bitty life for the rest of my life. Now here we are 18 years in to our adventure together and on December 10th 2011 you officially became an adult.
There are no words to express how much you mean to me. Being your mom has been one of the greatest gifts in my life. I never appreciated life until I gave birth to you. I feel God fully blessed me when you came into my life. I have so much love and pride for the boy you once were and the man you have become.
Even though I have represented myself as parent and teacher, I see so clearly that I have also been the student. Anthony, I have learned so much from you, you have played such a large part in molding me into the person I am today. You have taught me well and I thank you.
I am so proud of you and I love you very much. You will always have a piece of my heart and I wish you all the best on your journey.
